Two days ago, Jo Davids was a waitress by night and a college kid by day, with the unnerving problem of objects floating around her.
One Day ago, Jo's sexy boss, Cormac, noticed her for all the wrong reasons when she witnessed a man transform into a monster in the basement of his casino.
Today, Cormac ordered her shot.
If he's real lucky, she won't die. Because if she does, all hope is lost.

I enjoyed The Keepers. I think it's a good start to what looks to be an interesting series. It pulled me in from the beginning and held me til the end.
I really got into the characters and their story. I wanted to see where they were going and what was going to happen. Some of my theories I was dead on with, others were a pleasant surprise. Such as the romance with between Jo and Cormac. That I expected. But the reveal of who Jo's father was? That I was surprised. Even though I expected the romance it didn't progress the way I thought it would. Which was nice since insta-love really isn't my cup of tea. I think the author did a good job of pacing it.
I also can't wait to find out more of the world that Augustine is building and to see what happens to the characters living in it.
There were other twists and turns that really intrigued me. ****Semi-spoiler alert**** In fact at the end there were twists still being revealed. ****End spoiler alert**** Speaking of the ending. It wasn't a steep cliffie, but the story line was certainly left open. I think it was a great set up for the next novel in the series so I didn't mind.
As I said I enjoyed The Keepers. I plan on putting the rest of the series on my wish list. I'm hoping to pick it up as soon as I get a chance. I would definitely recommend it. There are some mature topics so only 18 and up for this one. But if you are over 18 definitely pick it up.
It sounds like an interesting enough story to read. Photography Today
