First let me thank I Am A Reader, Not A Writer and Kid Lit Frenzy for co-hosting this hop!
Halloween and Thanksgiving is already passed, and now we find ourselves heading into the home stretch of the year end holidays. Hannaka, Kwanza, Christmas, Yule, New Years, whether you celebrate any of these holidays or not, you have to admit it's hard not to get carried away with the excitement of the season. (And if your like me then you've been buying presents all year round and squirreling them away for just this time of year. I used to wrap them as I bought them, but I found myself forgetting what was in all the bright wrapping so I have resigned myself to starting my wrapping after Thanksgiving)
Plus who can resist holidays where people give you presents! About this time of year my brain alternates between what the next person wants on my list and *gimeegimeegimeegimeegimee!*. (No not the most altruistic of thoughts, but hey I promised I'd be honest on my blog, so there ya go!)
So as a way to ease my guilt over my gimmeeness I decided to participate in The Book Lover's Holiday Giveaway Hop. And thanks to the amazingly generous Darby Karchut I have an amazing prize to giveaway! One of you lucky readers out there in internet land will recieve an autographed copy of her book Griffin Rising!
For centuries, rumors have abounded of a lowly caste of supernatural beings known as the Terrae Angeli. Armed with the power to control Earth, Fire, Wind, and Water, these warriors secretly serve as guardians for mortals in danger. But for one young angel-in-training, Griffin, life is hell as a cruel master makes his apprenticeship a nightmare. On the verge of failing, a new mentor, Basil, enters his life and changes it forever. Taking on the identity of father and son, Griffin and Basil forge a special bond where honesty and trust go hand in hand to secure Griffin's destiny as a Terrae Angeli. Griffin's belief in himself and the love of a mortal girl are the perfect combination in overcoming the darkest days of his life. But will it be enough for him to succeed? For Griffin, it's time to angel up.
